2020 Dodge Charger

The Charger comes with six available trim levels, and they all feature a muscular exterior that's sure to leave an impact wherever you go. Most of the trims are similar in terms of exterior features, but there is one important feature unique to the upper levels. Starting with the SRT trim, you can opt for a Widebody version of the Charger that's larger and more imposing. It even comes with its own custom Widebody wheels.

You'll find four available engine options with the Charger, including the best-in-class supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V-8 engine that boasts an incredible 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. If you don't need that much power, the other V-8 options feature 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque or 370 horsepower and 395 pound-feet of torque. Even at the base level, you'll still have plenty of power, as the standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine offers 300 horsepower and 264 pound-feet of torque.

Getting the most out of your engine power is easy, thanks to the Charger's numerous performance features. The class-exclusive TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission is notably precise and works alongside the available Sport Mode setting that lets you shift manually with paddle shifters on the wheel. You can also opt for an all-wheel-drive system for improved traction and control. The electronic power steering system comes with three settings: normal, comfort, and sport. This system allows you to change the responsiveness of the wheel on the fly.

For a vehicle that's all about rugged power and performance, the interior is surprisingly comfortable. You'll find a tilt and telescoping steering column that can be adjusted with just the touch of a button. The wheel itself is wrapped in luxurious leather, and it can be heated to make those early morning winter drives much easier to deal with. You'll also have access to the Uconnect infotainment system and a 7-inch driver information digital cluster display that puts all the important information well within your line of sight.

Keeping all this power under control is at the heart of the Charger's numerous safety features. In fact, its driver assistance features are state-of-the-art, like full-speed forward collision warning with active braking. This system scans the area ahead for imminent collisions and will apply the brakes should one be detected. There's even a lane keep assist feature that can implement corrective steering to keep you in your lane should you exit without signaling.
