Jeep Wrangler Engines and Performance

The Jeep Wrangler comes with a wide variety of different engines that are capable of producing different horsepower as well as overall torque. That means you’ll be able to decide the ideal blend of power and fuel economy that suits your needs. Some of the engines available are as follows:

• Pentastar® V6 Engine: 285 horsepower with 260 lb-ft of torque
• Turbocharged 2.0L 4-Cylinder Engine: 270 horsepower with 295 lb-ft of torque
• 3.0L V6 Diesel Engine: 260 horsepower as well as 442 lb-ft of torque
• Turbocharged 2.0L 4-Cylinder Engine with Two Electric Motors: 375 horsepower with 470 lb-ft of torque
• Turbocharged 6.4L V8 Engine: 470 horsepower with 470 lb-feet of torque

A 6-speed manual transmission is standard with all the engine options, but the diesel and turbocharged engines come with an 8-speed transmission. To further bolster its performance, in addition to the four-door Wrangler being able to tow up to 3,500 pounds, there’s also several available 4x4 systems. They include Command-Trac®, Selec-Trac®, and Rock-Trac® that can switch between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive, which comes in handy when dealing with different terrains.

Finally, the Jeep Wrangler is also equipped with several entertainment and safety features. For entertainment, some features available include the Uconnect® Infotainment System, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto™ as well as an Alpine® premium sound system, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and satellite radio.

For safety features, there's a rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring that can alert you when vehicles are in your blind spots, rear parking sensors, a forward-collision warning, and optional adaptive cruise control.
