Jeep Gladiator

4 Impressive Features of the 2020 Jeep Gladiator

Jeep trucks are the stuff of folklore. Starting in 1947, Jeep produced the one-ton Willys Wheeler, which is now a highly sought-after collectible. After a mishmash of trucks through the years that were loved by Jeep fans but panned by critics, 1985 saw the release of the acclaimed Jeep Comanche. In 1992, it disappeared from assembly lines. Nearly three decades later, the void has finally been filled with the 2020 Jeep Gladiator. Taking pieces of the legendary Jeep Wrangler, this pickup is a beast through and through. Here's a look at all it has to offer in 2020. 1. Superb Power and Performance The 2020 Jeep Gladiator gets its performance cues from the Jeep Wrangler, sporting the same engine that's found in the 2019 Jeep Wrangler. This 3.6-liter V-6 behemoth churns out 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque behind a standard six-speed manual transmission. If you're averse to the stick shift, an eight-speed automatic transmission is optional. While Jeep has yet to release acceleration numbers, the Gladiator is sure to burn some serious rubber. more In addition to its speed, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator also has some of the top towing numbers in the industry. When properly equipped with the Max Towing package, this pickup touts a best-in-class 7,650 pounds of towing capacity to go along with a maximum payload of 1,600 pounds. Whether you're on the job site or doing a full-scale DIY project, the 2020 Gladiator has you covered. 2. The Diesel Rumor Details are still scant, but Jeep has rumored that a diesel version of the 2020 Jeep Gladiator will hit showrooms sometime later this year. Supposedly, this engine will take towing and off-roading to a new level thanks to 260 horsepower and a thunderous 442 pound-feet of torque. Only time will tell if this rumor is legitimate, but if it is, Jeep fans should rejoice. 3. The Open-Air Approach Courtesy of a removable top, removable doors, and a class-exclusive fold-down front windshield, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator is the world's only open-air truck. Borrowing this style from the Jeep Wrangler, the Gladiator brings you one step close to the great outdoors. Whether you're blazing new trails in the forest or going for a sunrise ride on the beach, the Gladiator brings you one step closer to nature. 4. Tech Features Upscale tech features abound in the 2020 Jeep Gladiator. Designed to maintain its utilitarian appeal with a touch of modernity, the Gladiator boasts a comprehensive array of tech specs that will delight just about any tech guru. Highlights include an 8.4-inch color touch-screen display, the Uconnect infotainment system, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. However, the most alluring feature is a portable Bluetooth stereo. With Bluetooth connectivity, this removable stereo plays your favorite jams anywhere you go. Simply unlatch it from its holding block, pair it with your mobile device, and you have a party waiting to happen. Expertly designed, full of ferocity, and with an added touch of something that only Jeep can provide, the 2020 Gladiator is the truck to have this year. Chances are it might just turn a few heads with you behind the wheel. Image via Flickr by nan palmero

Check out These 3 Cafes in the Casper Area

Although Casper, Wyoming, is best known for its oil heritage, rodeos, and cowboy culture, there's more to the town than meets the eye. One of those aspects is the city's abundance of chill, relaxing, and modern cafes. Long gone are the days of a five-cent cup of joe, but at these spots, you can hang out all day, sip a latte or mocha, surf the web, or interact with other coffee connoisseurs. 1. Java Jitters Espresso Billing itself as "Casper's Best Coffee," Java Jitters Espresso certainly has some huge aspirations. But with one sip of their premium coffee, you just might agree. This cozy little space with exposed brick walls and friendly baristas has traditional beverages such as lattes and cappuccinos, but if you're feeling like you need something extra, they have some options to please. more The Raspberry Rampage is one of their top sellers, featuring espresso with steamed Mexican chocolate milk, raspberry, whipped cream, and drizzled caramel. If that doesn't send your taste buds into hyperdrive, try the Banana Bliss, which mixes cold-brewed coffee blended with banana and chocolate, then topped with whipped cream. Java Jitters Espresso is located at 211 S. Montana Ave. in the Hilltop Shopping Center. Hours are from 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. 2. Blue Ridge Coffee Posh, yet cozy and relaxing, Blue Ridge Coffee looks like a coffee shop that was suddenly beamed from a cosmopolitan city right into the center of Casper. That's not to say that it's for city slickers only, but it has a vibe that's unique and enthralling. While purists might enjoy their freshly brewed drip coffee, Blue Ridge specializes in flavored cappuccinos and lattes, as well as their famed caramel apple cider. The cafe doesn't have a set menu of their concoctions, so a touch of creativity on your part and advice from the baristas will get you just what you've been craving. Located at 4601 SW Wyoming Blvd., Blue Ridge Coffee is open from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. 3. Metro Coffee Company Situated in a nearly 100-year-old building, Metro Coffee Company has a chic, modern industrial vibe that's apparent from the exterior and certainly once you walk through the door. Exposed brick, a piano that encourages people to tickle the ivory, plenty of seating, and high-speed WiFi provide a place where you can relax for hours on end. While the drip coffee and cappuccinos are amazing, don't miss out on the flavored lattes. With choices such as Mexican chocolate, raspberry truffle, caramel hazelnut, and mocha, you'll get a one-two punch of sweetness and caffeine that will take your day to the next level. You can find Metro Coffee Company at 241 S. David St. Hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday. 5 Engine Noises That You Never Want to Ignore

Every car makes it share of noises, but not all sounds are treated the same way. What do you do if you're driving down the road, and you suddenly hear a series of pops, thuds, or hissing? Some of these sounds must be dealt with promptly, or they can lead to an expensive repair bill. Here are six engine noises that you never want to ignore and what you should do about them. 1. Squealing, Scraping, and Grinding If you hear this cacophony of sounds, particularly when stopping, it could mean there is a problem with your brakes. While your brake pads are designed to squeak as they wear out, this is one car part that you don't want to ignore, for safety sake. more Grinding and growling noises from your brakes could be a sign that the pads are far past their replacement date, and the metal components of your braking system are grinding together. Get your car into a qualified mechanic and have them address the problem immediately. 2. Thumping Noises You're cruising along when you hear a thumping sound. It can happen when you're turning or when you're driving straight. Sometimes you might notice this noise when accelerating. Thumping noises often stem from a damaged tire or a faulty constant-velocity (CV) joint. Your brakes may also be the culprit, so don't wait to have these important systems examined by your technician. 3. Hissing or Sizzling Next time you're sitting patiently at a traffic light and a big cloud of steam hisses out of your engine, you have a leak. This sound is proof that one of your engine fluids — oil, coolant, or power steering fluid — is dripping on your engine's hot parts. This is a critical warning sign and one that, if ignored, could lead to permanent engine damage or even a fire. The best course of action is to pull over and call for a tow. 4. Squealing Under the Hood Does your car start squealing when you start it up or press on the gas? This sound is a cry for help and is a sign you have a worn or loose accessory belt. These parts are pretty important because they run components like your power steering pump, alternator, and air conditioning compressor. Some newer vehicles use a serpentine belt that runs multiple accessories, so when this part fails, you'll notice problems in several systems. 5. Consistent Rattles If you hear rattling from your car's engine compartment, you've got a problem that you need to address as soon as possible. This sound often indicates loose or failing engine parts like your drive belt tensioner or, if the sound is coming from under the car, issues within your suspension system. These are five common engine noises that you never want to ignore. All of these sounds demand your attention. You should trust only a certified mechanic to keep your vehicle on the road, like the one you'll find at your local Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealership. Image via Flickr by sylvar
