2019 Dodge Charger

When your lifestyle dictates that you need a family-size sedan and the sports car has to go, it doesn’t mean you have to give up exciting high-performance driving. Not only does the 2019 Dodge Charger offer all the space you need for five passengers and cargo, but the top trim is also a powerful production sedan. It’s offered in SXT, GT, R/T, Scat Pack, and SRT Hellcat trim levels, and you have the option of all-wheel drive.

Exterior Design

Featuring low and wide front-end styling and a sleek contoured profile, the Charger has an aggressive road presence that’ll get you noticed, while the tail features a ribbon of light that is all the competition will see. SXT trim sits on 17-inch alloy wheels and announces its arrival with projector headlights, LED daytime running lights, and an impressive hood bulge.

The SXT with AWD adds 19-inch wheels and LED fog lights. GT trim gets an air extractor for the hood, 20-inch wheels, and a performance fascia and grille, while the Scat Pack offers a performance rear spoiler. SRT Hellcat models have high-intensity discharge headlights and a performance hood with dual air extractors.

Engine Power

The SXT and GT feature a 292 horsepower 3.6-liter V-6 engine that delivers 260 pound-feet of torque. The output is boosted for AWD models to produce 300 horsepower and 264 pound-feet. This engine will take you from zero to 60 mph in a little over six seconds.

Under the hood of the R/T is a 370 horsepower 5.7-liter V-8 producing 395 pound-feet of torque that takes just over five seconds to accelerate to 60 mph. Scat Pack is powered by a 485 horsepower 6.4-liter V-8 that produces 475 pound-feet of torque. It has a zero to 60 time of 4.3 seconds and takes 12.4 seconds to do the quarter-mile.

The line-up is topped by the SRT Hellcat with its 707 horsepower 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 delivering an awesome 650 pound-feet of torque. Your breath will be taken away as it hits 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds and completes the quarter-mile in 11.8 seconds on the way to a top speed of more than 200 mph. For handling that power, the Hellcat has Bilstein three-mode dynamic damping suspension, Brembo ultra high-performance brakes, and, for track use, a launch control system.

Interior Features

Slipping behind the wheel in the driver-focused cabin, you’ll feel fully in control as you adjust your position in the power performance seat. All trims except the SXT have a multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifters for fingertip gear changes. A customizable 7-inch digital driver display provides you with key vehicle information.

To keep you entertained and connected on the road, the multimedia system features, 4G Wi-Fi, smartphone integration, hands-free calling with Bluetooth, a 7-inch touch screen, and six-speaker audio. GT models and up add an 8.4-inch touch screen and a premium sound system with a 276-watt amplifier.
