2019 Dodge Journey

When your family or lifestyle demands the practicality of an SUV, it doesn’t mean that you have to give up style, luxury, and driving pleasure. The 2019 Dodge Journey is versatile and spacious, offering comfortable seating for up to seven people. It’s available in SE, Crossroad, and GT trim levels, and with two engines and the option of all-wheel drive, there’s a Journey to suit you.

Exterior Styling

The rugged looks of the Journey command attention. From the distinctive crosshair grille, through the sculpted profile, to the stylish rear end, it has a dominant road presence. SE trim features automatic quad headlamps, signature daytime running lights, fog lamps, heated mirrors, and 17-inch wheels.

Crossroad trim adds 19-inch alloy wheels and the distinctive ring-of-fire LED taillights. The GT offers unique badging, wheels, and styling cues, a body-color grille, and a performance fascia.

Power and Performance

In the Journey, you’re assured of a comfortable ride. Under the hood of the front-wheel drive SE and Crossroad trims is a responsive four-cylinder 2.4-liter engine delivering 173 horsepower and 166 pound-feet of torque via a four-speed automatic transmission.

GT trim and AWD models feature a refined 3.6-liter V-6 that produces 283 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. It’s paired with a smooth-shifting six-speed automatic transmission. With both engines, you’ll get up to 25 mpg for highway driving and, when properly equipped, the Journey can tow up to 2,500 pounds.

Versatile Interior

The Journey’s roomy interior has folding and reclining second-row seats with a Tilt ‘n Slide feature giving you easy access to the third row with its 50/50 split folding and reclining seat backs. Your cargo and passenger capacity can be optimized with multiple seating configurations.

You have a cavernous 67.6 cubic feet of cargo space with the second and third rows folded. Even with a full complement of passengers, you have clever underfloor storage in the second row and cargo area. The second-row compartments feature removable and washable liners and can be used to keep ice and drinks for picnics with family or friends.

Technology

To stay connected and entertained on the road, SE trim features a 4.3-inch touch screen and a six-speaker sound system with USB and auxiliary inputs. Adding the Connectivity Group gets you Bluetooth, voice command, satellite radio, and MP3 compatibility.

The Crossroad has the features of the Connectivity Group along with an 8.4-inch touch screen. GT trim offers a premium audio system with a subwoofer and a 368-watt amplifier. A Family Entertainment Group is available and includes the premium sound system,  a second-row overhead video screen, remote control, and wireless headphones.

Driver Assistance Features

Aiding the superb handling of the Journey are electronic stability control, anti-roll mitigation, traction control, and, when towing, trailer sway damping. For assured stopping, you have a four-wheel anti-lock braking system with brake assist and electronic brake force distribution. The standard rearview camera helps with backing up, while the available rear parking sensors alert you to obstacles in your path.
